Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

I have accepted the challenge and am participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I’m doing my best these days to get donations for this walk. It’s a couple of months away but I have made a big commitment, I must raise $1800! Almost on a daily basis I am posting to Facebook, sending texts, emails, and reminding those close to me to make a donation. It is a huge amount I need to raise, but I am confident I will achieve it with your help.

No one woman is safe from Breast Cancer and that is why I walk. I walk for the women in my life, for my friend’s mothers and aunts who have battled this disease, and I walk for me. Like any woman, my breasts are important to me and I can’t imagine any woman having to hear they have breast cancer. I walk because I can!

Every 3 minutes, another woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer. With the help of people like you, we’re going to do everything we can to change that statistic.Your support means a lot to me, and to the millions of people affected by breast cancer.

Your contribution will help to support medical research into the possible causes of and cure for breast cancer, education and early detection programs, and clinical care and support services for women with breast cancer in communities across the country. There is a special focus on helping medically underserved women, the poor, minorities, the elderly, or those with inadequate health insurance. And much of the money granted by the Foundation goes back to the communities where it was raised, supporting everything from local grassroots programs to national organizations.

Will you help with a donation today? Whatever you can give will help! I truly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress. Here is the link to my page and thank you for your help!
